...........

A beautifull quote from the Bhagvad Gita.....Simple yet gracefull....
This one goes to the G8 countries....especially USA...also China(though its not one of the G8 countries)...

"I got this today," they say; "tomorrow I shall get that. This wealth is mine and that will be mine too. I have destroyed my enemies, I shall destroy others too! Am I not like God? I enjoy what I want. I am successful. I am powerful. I am happy. I am rich and well-born. Who is equal to me? I will perform sacrifices and give gifts, and rejoice in my own generosity." This is how they go on, deluded by ignorance. Bound by their greed and entangled in a web of delusion, whirled about by a fragmented mind, they fall into a dark hell. Self-important, obstinate, swept away by pride of wealth, they ostentatiously perform sacrifices without any regard for their purpose. Egotistical, violent, arrogant, lustful, angry, envious of everyone, they abuse my presence within their own bodies and in the bodies of others.

"The most beautiful word on the lips of mankind is the word "MOTHER" and the most beautiful call is the call of "MY MOTHER". It is a word full of love and hope, a sweet and kind word coming from the depths of the heart. Mother is everything....she is our consolation in sorrow, our hope in misery, our strength in weakness. She is the source of love, mercy, sympathy and forgiveness. He who loses his mother, loses a pure soul who blesses and guards him constantly"........Kahlil Gibran

These words...so true.....remind me of my biggest regret of my life......my failure as a daughter!.....so afllictive......so unexplainable........

And then, these lines penned by Eddie revolve in my head.........

Is something wrong
she said
Ofcourse there is

Your still alive
she said
Oh! do i deserve to be?

Is that the question?
and if so, if so....
who answers....who answers.........

And Then They Came For Me......

Mangalore pub attacks, irrelevant obligations on valentines day, moral policing.........
the list goes on and on. It disgusts me to see these cowards dancing like monkeys for the amusement of the politicians and the influential few from different backgrounds. In this post I am providing the link to an article written by a journalist from Sri Lanka named Lasantha Wickrematunge.
Lasantha Wickrematunge was brutally murdured on the 8th Jan 2008. He was the co-founder and editor of Sri Lankan newspaper The Sunday Leader and the latest in the series of murders of journalists in Sri Lanka. He was known for his sensational style of journalism. Also The Sunday Leader publications are known to be critical towards the government. Following his death, The Sunday Leader carried a posthumous editorial by him in which he has blamed the government, Mr.Mahinda Rajapakse(President of Sri Lanka) to be specific, for his death.Apparently, Mr.Rajapakse was Lasantha's best friend from the college days. This article was written by Lasantha Wickrematunge in the anticipation of his own death.

Through this post I only wish to tell people, especially the youth, that as Bob Marley said.....
Truth is a fight, Never give up the fight.
